5 Stars / 94 points - Te Kairanga John Martin Chardonnay 2015

A beautifully composed chardonnay, the complex bouquet shows white stone fruit, rockmelon, nougat and brioche characters with a hint of vanilla. It is concentrated and beautifully weighted on the palate, and delivers lovely fruit richness and creamy texture, wonderfully framed by seamlessly integrated acidity. At its best: now to 2021.
Wharekauhau Food and Wine Society Farmers Market
Starting Sunday November 6
Since 2012 the Farmers Market at Te Kairanga have been an important social event for the Wairarapa community. Starting November 6, the Farmers Market will commence on the first Sunday of every month (excluding January 2nd). This year proceeds generated by hosting the event will be donoated to the Life Flight Trust.
Come down to enjoy live music, local produce and delicious food.

6th November, 4th December, 2nd January (Monday), 5th February, 5th March, 2nd April

Foley Family Wines is delighted to announce The Connoisseur Club. It is for people
who love wine as much as we love making it. It is perfect for those who wish to
build a world-class cellar.
Every year, members will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase our prestige
wines, in advance of their release to the market. The wines available through The
Connoisseur Club are Te Kairanga John Martin, Martinborough Vineyard Estate and
the Vavasour Single Vineyard series. Only a limited quantity of this wine is produced
each year.
There are no membership fees associated with The Connoisseur Club.

October 31st, Mt Difficulty comes to Martinborough
Our friends from Mt Difficulty will be visiting the Te Kairanga Cellar Door over the next couple of Sundays
Mt Difficulty are taking over Te Kairanga with their world-famous Central Otago wines and a lunch menu of signature dishes from the Mt Difficulty Restaurant, all hosted by Mt Difficulty Chief Winemaker Matt Dicey.
Also on offer is a masterclass, special tastings and the culinary talent of Wharekauhau Country Estate serving up a three-course signature courses from the Mt Difficulty restaurant. So if you’re not heading south anytime soon, let us bring the Mt Difficulty experience to your own backyard!
Te Kairanga Farmers Market
Our monthly TK Farmers Market are back for Summer 2020/21.
From Sunday 8th November (and the first Sunday of every month thereafter until Easter Sunday) local producers will be showcasing their wares under the oak trees.
Alongside some of Wellington’s top food trucks, award-winning wines from both Te Kairanga and Martinborough Vineyard and local favourite, Lighthouse Gin.
Live music from local Wellington cover bands, The Noods, Two Times and Between the Lines will round out a fantastic day at Te Kairanga!
Dates: 8th November, 6th December, 3rd January, 7th February, 7th March, 4th April (Easter Sunday) 10am-3pm

Nestled on the edge of the Martinborough terrace next our winery, it will also be home to Martinborough Vineyard, Lighthouse Gin and us.⠀The venue will house a restaurant, private dining room, tasting room, underground barrel hall, and a new distillery for Lighthouse Gin. It will be the perfect location to enjoy our wines and local food while taking in the spectacular rolling hills surrounding Martinborough.⠀

This is instantly appealing on the nose showing poached pear, green rockmelon, floral and fig characters. The palate delivers excellent fruit weight and intensity, while remaining elegant and pristine, wonderfully supported by silky texture and refreshing acidity. At its best: now to 2019.

Lighthouse Gin Garden Party

Lighthouse will be kicking off Toast Martinborough Weekend as it settles in to Te Kairanga's shady cottage garden for the Lighthouse Gin Garden Party on Saturday November 18.
Revelers can expect Lighthouse G&Ts and other inspired summer libations expertly mixed by Lighthouse Distiller Rachel Hall, alongside brunch, lunch and tapas from Beat Kitchen and The Crab Shack, all to the sound of live summer tunes by Uncle Monkey.
Ginophiles won't want to miss the very special Lighthouse sorbet by Wharekauhau Country Estate and Lighthouse fudge by the Laughing Owl Fudge Company, crafted especially for the occasion.
Te Kairanga's award-winning wine, low and no-alcohol drinks will also be served.
Tickets are $33 via Eventfinda and include:
